- Treatment of 100% of flows in EDI:
• EDI, Web/EDI and NetEDI (AS2/EDIINT).
• Voice operations - give access to all partners.
- Adapted to small volumes:
• For the small structures.
• Less expensive EDI solutions.
• Collegial structure of the operations, software package and machines.
• Material availability (telephone, scan, Internet).
• Easy training (word interface).
- Report/ratio in the form of pivot tables (sophisticated).
- Integration of the cards produced and reports of the movements.
- Complete traceability - dry products, variable weight, meat, milk, fruit and vegetables.
- Capacity to transmit information instantaneously.
- Recording of the SSCC.
- Identification of the units of forwarding.
- Forwarding with automatic check of the contents of orders.
- Greater checking speed of pallets and parcels in forwarding.
- After the stage of picking, we move to the preparation of expedition stage.
- The preparation of expedition is based on ORDERS information.
- To put each delivery related to an order in a well defined way to reduce the error rate.
- Automated qualitative and quantitative control:
• Quantitative control: to check the quantity of the pallets to be delivered.
• Qualitative control: to check the state of the pallets, if the products are well filmed.
The preparation of expedition is accompanied by the preparation of the delivery note: DESADV.
1- The expedition solutions:
a- Support RFID in expedition (OUT): Send goods
Objective:
- Detection of the outgoing boxes and pallets code: boxes and pallets to be dispatched.
- Useful information to manage the shipping: quantitative control of the pallets to be delivered.
- Tools to confirm the delivery note (DESADV) related to the pending order.
- Total control of the delivery.
- Recording of information of shipping.
- In the case of an error, the system can announce it directly.
- Loading of the delivery in shipping trucks.
- Is necessary to check the cleanliness of the means of transport of the deliveries.
- To take care of some of the shipping environment.
Events:
RFID event:
- The antennas are placed on each side. The pallets are positioned with the top of the gantries; allow collecting the signals emitted by the tags.
- The relation Gantry/passage of carriages of pallets takes account of the
following elements:
• Speed
• Spacing
• Reading environment: presence of metal drums
Advantages:
• Increase profits and productivity.
• Reliability of the data read at the various points of passages.
• Capacity to transmit information instantaneously.
• Generation of traceability information.
• Delete of shipping errors.
• Acceleration of the shipping process.
• Improvement in terms of quality.
• Reduction of the direct and indirect costs.
• To render the best customer service.
• To have a competing advantage.
• Increase speed to detect the shipping errors and improve the way of correcting them.
b- Solution of SCAN:
Orders Donor side:
1 - Start the scan operation: event scanning.
EdiPax side:
2 - A Web Service receives this information and generates XML format files from the scan.
3 - These XML files will be saved in the database table that matches.
4 - Another program that runs to generate traceability information related to scan.
5 - This information will be sent to the Orders Donor for the statistical picking to have an idea about the percentage of productivity of each picking station.
Confirmation by voice:
- Scan information will be recorded and will be confirmed by a voice server with a loudspeaker connected to it.
- The voice server will confirm the last three digits label scanned.
- The waiter voice is related to a high speaker embedded in the wall.
- We can also confirm the weight of a pallet or boxes.
• The use of the voice solution reduces the error rate.
2- Preparation of the DESADV:
- The DESADV is transmitted at the moment of closing the doors of the truck. It makes it possible to send the exact reflection of the loading.
- Arrived before the goods at the recipient, it allows a great reliability in the process of reception and acceptance of the goods. It contains:
* The SSCC code
* The number of forwarding
* The lines articles with the GTIN and the quantities
* The number of order
- Informations of shipping such as the shipper name, name of recipient, quantity sent, weight, date and name of the product are inserted in the DESADV
- It is necessary to have conformity between DESADV information and real forwarding information.
- The DESADV is sent before the arrival of the goods at the customer to be able to prepare the reception.
- DESADV information is sent towards EdiPax.
EdiPax generates the DESADV according to a format compatible with the system of the customer (EdiFact format or XML or another format).
